The Objective
The challenge was to distill a bold and complex regeneration vision into a compelling narrative: to transform Northampton’s derelict Belgrave House into the UK’s National Centre of Excellence for the Boot & Shoe industry. The building would become a multi-level hub for making, learning, coworking, and cultural exchange, anchoring a new era for the town’s historic shoemaking legacy.
My task was to produce a standout presentation and book for Craig White & Co, as well as the city of Northampton, that would communicate this vision clearly and convincingly to city stakeholders.

The Impact
1. Craig White secured the collaboration with the City of Northampton.
2. From the British Footwear Association to the University of Northampton, the pitch’s clarity and quality played a key role in aligning a diverse set of stakeholders around a shared vision.
3. It marked a pivotal step forward in activating Belgrave House as the anchor for a future-facing Creative Quarter that builds on Northampton’s unique cultural and industrial legacy.

The Work
Working closely with the client, Craig White & Co, I designed a detailed pitch book and visual presentation that articulated the mission, context, and creative potential of the project. This included:
The Work
• A bold, coherent visual identity that paid homage to Northampton’s industrial heritage while reflecting a forward-thinking, design-led future (hence designing the cover to appear like a folder - an evolving collection of inspirations).
• Clear narrative structure to walk stakeholders through the opportunity, mission, and proposed activation of Belgrave House.
• Custom diagrams, floor plans, and layered urban context visualisations to bring the concept to life.
• A tone that balanced professional authority with human connection in order to gain buy-in from business, academic, and community audiences alike.
The Work
Every visual and design decision was made to support clarity, credibility, and inspiration.
